Captains Corner

By Jonathan 6E - Vice Captain

Hello GWPS community. Can you believe that we’re already halfway through the term! The past weeks have been extraordinary. We have been participating in many programs and activities, and we have many more to come!

On the 9th of August, the Year 4-6's participated in Athletics. Well done to all the children who participated and good luck to all attending the district competition!

This week it is Book Week and the theme is “Reading is Magic.” Thank you to all of the teachers for making sure it is a great week for all of us and also thank you for dressing up as your favourite character on Monday as there were so many wonderful costumes and outfits!

On the 16th, the Grade 1’s had their Willum Warrain Aboriginal Association excursion. The children learnt had lots of fun and learnt a variety of things.

Finally, on Wednesday we had Mrs Karen Money, the Regional Director, visit our school. Did you know that she is responsible for 500 schools? Wow, that’s a lot! Mrs Money said that our school is a great school and that we are all very lucky to have access to so many amazing learning opportunities! Thank you, Mrs Money, for visiting us and please come back soon!

Thank you for reading this fortnight’s newsletter and don’t forget Funky Feet Day tomorrow!

Kind regards,

Jonathan
