Admin Corner

Welcome back to another edition of the Admin Corner!

As you all know, at Glen Waverley Primary School, we use the Compass portal to help us manage student attendance and ease communication between the school staff and parents. Below are a few helpful tips when using Compass.

RE-SET PASSWORD/TROUBLESHOOTING

If Compass is notifying you to change your password, please contact the office so we can re-set it for you. Once we re-set it, it will populate a temporary 6-digit password which can be used to log in initially however, it will then request you create a new personal password.

From time to time, you may encounter some issues with the portal. It isn’t common however does occur. On our school website, under the Parents tab you will find there is a Compass section, the Parent Guide can be accessed there.

The guide will assist you with step-by-step instructions on how to use Compass and troubleshoot any issues. As always, if you have any issues, please do not hesitate to see or contact the office staff.

UPDATING PERSONAL INFORMATION

If your personal information, i.e., email or contact number has changed, you can enter the changes on Compass, which then populates an email to our office staff to process internally.

Alternatively, you can also come to the office, fill out a Family Amendment form and have the office update the information for you.

CONSENT & PAYMENTS FOR EVENTS

Our school camps, excursions, events and sporting activities are all managed through Compass. Parents can provide consent and process payment all via the Compass app. Compass can also be accessed via an internet browser should you not have the ability to download the app.

We understand that on occasion, deadlines for consent and payment may be missed. If this has happened, please phone the office as we may be able to re-open the event for you.

Our office is always here to assist you with any questions, feel free to come see us between the hours of 8am – 4:30pm Monday to Friday.

Warm Regards,
