WELLBEING NEWS
Thursday the 12th of September is officially Are you OK? Day. The theme for this year is about checking in with people any day of the year!
In classes during wellbeing lessons there is an emphasis on ensuring we check in with our friends and loved ones, building our relationship strategies. It's important at any age to be able to ask for help, receive it, listen and know who we can go to if help is needed.
MAGIC MONDAY IS COMING TO SACRED HEART!!
In Term Four, students from Year One to Year Five will take part in a range of student selected Magic Monday afternoon experiences that will focus on fun, relationship building, social skills, student voice and wellbeing.
Some of these experiences include; cooking, painting, gardening, lego masters and crotchet and knitting, team games. During this time our Foundation students will take part in Blue Earth-cooperative games and the Year Six students will spend time on transition to Secondary School with Marty. The teachers are looking forward to this being a really positive experience for everyone and an opportunity for students to choose what they take part in whilst at school - Student voice in action!
SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION
Next week a letter will be sent to the Year 3 families whose children are baptised Catholics asking if they would like to make their First Reconciliation next term. The Reconciliation will be held on the evening of Wednesday 30th of October and more details will be provided next term.
Enjoy the weekend,
