As we reach the final weeks of Term 3, we are reflecting on what a busy and exciting term it has been in Year One. The students have embraced a wide variety of learning experiences and shown wonderful curiosity, creativity, and enthusiasm. We are proud of the effort and growth each child has demonstrated and are looking forward to an exciting Term 4 ahead.
One of the highlights of the term was our excursion to the Melbourne Museum. Students loved exploring the Dinosaur Gallery, where the giant triceratops captured everyone’s attention. Another favourite moment was the IMAX movie about the T. Rex. The children enjoyed wearing the 3D glasses and watching the dinosaurs come to life on the big screen. Special thanks go to the parent helpers who volunteered their time. Without your support, the staff are unable to deliver excursions.
Next term, our Science and Inquiry focus will be on water. We will be exploring its properties, uses, and importance through a range of hands-on investigations. To support our planned activities, we ask that each student bring a shoebox and a 300–500ml glass jar with a secure lid. These items will be essential for our experiments and projects.
As the weather warms up, a reminder that in Term 4 all students are required to wear hats as part of our school’s SunSmart policy. Please ensure hats and all uniform items are clearly named so that lost property can be returned promptly.
