From the Principals

Information from Mrs Mann, Mrs Cook and Mrs Strachan

Hello VPS families! Welcome to the final newsletter for Term 3! With this term being only 9 weeks long, it doesn't feel like that long ago that we were heading into holidays, but I am sure that the next lot of holidays are very welcome none the less.

Master Planning Update

This week, we have met with the Victorian School Building Authority (VSBA) and interviewed a panel of architects as part of the tender process for our Master Planning phase. This is very exciting, and was a wonderful opportunity to hear from people about some of the ideas and possibilities for improving and redeveloping the facilities and buildings at Vermont Primary School. We are looking forward to this process officially commencing and for the students, parents and staff to be able to contribute to the next step in making Vermont Primary School even better!

Production

We are so excited for our production next Tuesday and Wednesday. The rehearsals have been amazing and if they are any indication of what we can expect to see on the big stage, then we are in for a real treat! If you are still to purchase tickets, please ensure you do so using this link https://www.trybooking.com/DEFHA as tickets are almost sold out.

Please ensure that you read any communications around start times and drop-off/pick-up locations for students. We also stress that students cannot leave the venue without an adult collecting them.  Children will not be allowed to leave the theatre and walk to cars unattended at the end of the night.

Term 4 Christmas Carols & Craft Market

As Term 4 approaches quickly, we would like to remind everyone that we have our Christmas Carols and Craft Market event planned for Wednesday December 3. If you or someone you know runs a market stall, food truck or small business that would be interested in running a stall at our event, please use this link to register your interest. https://forms.office.com/r/m7ttdaftsk

Student Free Day

Just a reminder that next Friday September 19 is a Student Free Day. Teachers will be at school working very hard on planning for Term 4. OSHC services are available if needed.

We hope everyone has a great break over the next few weeks and we look forward to seeing you all back for Day 1 of Term 4 on October 6. Students, don't forget your hats!
