SCHOOL SPORT 2025
District and Western Sport Trials
In 2025, Mrs Francis will coordinate all district and western trial information for PSSA Sporting teams.
Some trials at a school level will be held prior to the district trials. This depends on the sport and popularity of trials at the district level.
When trialling for district and western teams, notes will go home with students from school and will need to be returned to school to Mrs Francis before the due date.
Students cannot attend trials without this note being approved by the school and students names entered into trials by the school.
Students can find out about upcoming school, district and western trials by listening to Sentral announcements in class, and parents can find out about trials by keeping up to date through the School Newsletter.
District Carnival
The District Athletics Carnival was held last Friday and Bathurst Public School had some wonderful results. 52 BPS students competed at the Bathurst District Athletics Carnival at Morse Park and it was a gorgeous sunny day, a great day for athletics! All our BPS students were very excited to compete (especially those in their first carnival!), and put in their very best effort. We had some wonderful results on the day and have 12 students representing the Bathurst District in 18 individual events, and a further 11 students joining them to compete in relays. All our relay teams were successful in making it to the next level, with our Senior Boys coming 1st after running their relay in 1minute! Congratulations to all our athletes and we wish them luck at the Western Carnival on Friday 19th September. Thankyou to Mrs Francis, Miss Barber and Mrs Café for their work and support of the children at the carnival.
Regional Athletics Carnival
