Dear Parents,

I hope all our dads, grandads and significant men in our lives had a wonderful day on Sunday. What a spectacular morning we had last Friday with our Father’s Day breakfast and stall. Thank you to our incredible P&C for their organisation and work to make this event such a success. We were thrilled with how many people we had attend and thank you all for your support.

Today we have emphasised the importance of R U OK? Day. We know that whether it’s a friend, family member, partner, or colleague, the people around us go through life’s ups and downs every day. That’s why we want everyone to feel confident to check in with the people they care about and Ask R U OK? Any Day.

The District Athletics Carnival was held last Friday and Bathurst Public School had some wonderful results.  52 BPS students competed at the Bathurst District Athletics Carnival at Morse Park and it was a gorgeous sunny day, a great day for athletics! All our BPS students were very excited to compete (especially those in their first carnival!), and put in their very best effort. We had some wonderful results on the day and have 12 students representing the Bathurst District in 18 individual events, and a further 11 students joining them to compete in relays. All our relay teams were successful in making it to the next level, with our Senior Boys coming 1st after running their relay in 1minute! Congratulations to all our athletes and we wish them luck at the Western Carnival on Friday 19th September. Thank you to Mrs Francis, Miss Barber and Mrs Café for their work and support of the children at the carnival. The results from the carnival are below;
