Garden Club

It’s so true. We are alive because of a six-inch layer of soil, sun and rain. In the garden, we spend time weeding, planting, cultivating and harvesting. What a gift the six-inch layer of soil is, that gives us so much. We are always so excited when we find worms, bugs or new growth.
Our Patch is over-grown with weeds at the moment, so we have spent time digging a path underneath the flag poles and adding some indigenous plants that we shared in the last newsletter. Next week we will put down some sand and pavers so people can enjoy walking through the new garden bed and amongst indigenous plants, native to Mt. Waverley.
The Patch is being cleared of weeds and Lee is doing such a great job making the new garden beds, so we can start using them next term. The Avila girls will also join us soon, which is so exciting. Stay tuned for more garden news and as always, happy planting and have a great week whatever you do, enjoying nature’s brilliance and beauty.
