Digital Safety Resources for parents

Digital Technology - online safety resources

Holy Family has a school wide focus on cyber safety and digital wellbeing for our students from Prep to Year 6.

The Office of esafety Commissioner website has an abundance of information available for parents to help their children in navigating the online environment.

Today’s link takes you to a page focussed on parental controls. Whilst active supervision is always the number one priority, there are many tools available to assist in creating a safe online environment for our children. Below is a link to the office of esafety commissioner which has a detailed list of the different types of parental controls that can be used including both their benefits and limitations. This is one of the many pages of information that has been developed and made available for parents.

Parental controls

Parental controls can be used to support your family's online safety when using devices that connect to the internet, such as phones, laptops, tablets, gaming consoles and smart TVs. But it's important to understand their limitations and use them in combination with other protective strategies. (esafety.gov.au)
