Stage 2 and Stage 3 Dance Groups Shine at Eisteddfod
We are proud to announce that our Stage 2 and Stage 3 dance groups recently competed at the Bathurst Eisteddfod, showcasing their talent and dedication. A total of 37 students participated in this event, demonstrating great enthusiasm and skill.
The Stage 3 group, competing against dance groups from 13 different schools, and our Stage 2 group both received a Highly Commended award—an impressive achievement that speaks to their hard work and outstanding performance.
We extend our sincere thanks to Miss Bellamy and Mrs Owen for their organisation and talent leading these groups. Their commitment has been instrumental in preparing our students for this success.
Congratulations to all our dancers for their fantastic effort and representation of our school. We look forward to seeing their continued growth and achievements in the future.
Year 6 Students - Transition to High School Day
Our Year 6 students recently had the exciting opportunity to participate in Transition Days at either Kelso High School and Bathurst High School. These visits are an important part of preparing our students for their move to high school next year.
During the transition days, students engaged in a range of activities designed to familiarise them with the high school environment. They toured the campuses, met current students and teachers, and experienced sample lessons in various subjects. This firsthand experience helped to ease any anxieties and build confidence for the upcoming change.
Feedback from our students was overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing enthusiasm about starting high school and making new friends. The transition days also provided valuable information about school routines, extracurricular opportunities, and support services available to them.
We would like to thank both Kelso High School and Bathurst High School for their warm welcome and for providing such a comprehensive program. We are confident that these visits have set our Year 6 students up for a smooth and successful start to their high school journey.
