Mini Fete

Despite the chilly weather, our Mini Fete was bursting with excitement, laughter, and fun from start to finish! Students had an absolute ball playing games, winning prizes, devouring delicious treats, and simply soaking up all the joy the day had to offer.

Our incredible Year 5 and 6 students were beaming with pride as they saw all their hard work pay off, watching the younger students from Prep to Year 4 enjoy every moment. It was a fantastic display of leadership, teamwork, and community spirit!

A massive thank you goes out to:

  • Our wonderful parents for supporting their children in preparing and running their stalls
  • The families from other year levels for their generous donations that helped make the day such a success
  • Our dedicated Year 5 and 6 teachers for all their time and effort in the lead-up to the event
  • And of course, a huge shout-out to Mrs Jansen and Miss Greco for their amazing work in overseeing the entire Mini Fete

We have some exciting news for next year! With changes to our Inquiry units, the Mini Fete will now become an annual event, proudly run by our Year 6 students each year. We can’t wait to see this new tradition grow!

Thank you once again to everyone who helped make the day so memorable – we couldn’t have done it without you!

Alex T- Our Fencing Champion

Our students participate in a multitude  of activities outside of school.  From a wide range of sports to various musical instruments to academic pursuits to community conscious activities  like scouts.

On Saturday the 30th of August Alexander T from 2DC competed in the Australian National Fencing competition. He competed in the Age 8 Mixed Epee group, and won a  Silver Medal!

Fencing is a strategic sport that combines athleticism, precision, and mental agility.  It is one of the original sports in the modern Olympic Games and is based on the traditional art of sword fighting. Fencing requires coordination, focus, discipline, and agility.

This is a tremendous accomplishment for Alexander, and it reflects his hard work, dedication, and passion for the sport.  Congratulations Alexander from all of us at WHPS.

Planning for 2026

We are at that time of the year where we are in the process of planning for 2026. We know that some families unfortunately won’t be with us next year, due to moving to a new house or area etc. If that includes your family, we are sorry to see you leave our community.

Please ensure that you call the school or email to inform us of your plans at your earliest convenience. This supports us with our planning for next year. We thank you for your support and understanding.

The survey is conducted online, only takes 20 minutes to complete, and can be accessed at any convenient time on desktop computers, laptops, tablets or smartphones.

The online survey is available in English and 10 other languages including Arabic, Greek, Hakha Chin, Hindi, Japanese, Punjabi, Simplified Chinese, Somali, Turkish, and Vietnamese.
