Principal's Report

Dear Parents, Carers, and Friends, 

On Monday we held the school AGM for 2023 and I would like to list a few of the highlights mentioned. 

Last year we:

• Held four festivals 
• Reviewed and revised the master plan and agreed on a design for the Middle school classrooms 
• Upgraded our branding and website and, after much consultation, added Mparntwe to our logo 
• We celebrated our 25th year of operation 
• Were able to find strong teachers to take over from senior teachers that finished their time with us 
• Committed to expanding into Class 9 

Camps:

• We camped for 27 nights under the stars 
• We had 24 students abseil and climb in the Tjoritja Ranges 
• We took 8 students on a 5-night camel trek 
• Our students hiked over 155km in 7 different national parks

I thank parents, teachers, the board and many thanks to all our fantastic students for another successful year. 

Building news 

We will be beginning Stage One of the Middle School buildings next month. This will be Class 7 room and an undercover outdoor learning space. They will begin with the pad as the buildings need to be raised. The area will be fenced and secure however trucks will be bringing in soil and heavy machinery will be used to compact the soil.  I am here to answer any questions you may have during this process. We are planning to finish Stage One by the end of the year.
