From the Executive Principal's Desk
Dear Christway College Community
As we bask in the afterglow of our recent 25th birthday celebrations, I am filled with an overwhelming sense of gratitude and joy. Our celebration week was marked by moments of laughter, nostalgia, and heartfelt connection that have truly exemplified the spirit of our Christway community.
Our Twilight Carnival, filled with fun, food, entertainment and crowned by an awe-inspiring firework display, was a testament to the vibrancy and unity that defines our school. It was a joyous occasion where students, parents, and staff came together to celebrate not just a milestone, but the bonds that unite us as a community.
A big highlight of the celebrations was undoubtedly our special assembly where we gathered to reflect on 25 incredible years of Christway College and formerly Heatherton Christian College. It was a poignant event as we listened to the stories and memories shared by significant community members from the past and present on stage. From reminiscing about the early days of our school to celebrating the achievements of our students and staff, every word spoken was a testament to the dedication, passion, and love that has shaped our Christway family.
One particularly moving moment was when we heard from our founding pastor, Ray Gilmour, who shared a heartfelt message via video. His words served as an emotional reminder of the faith, vision, and perseverance that laid the foundation for our school 25 years ago. It was a touching tribute to the journey we have embarked on together and the countless blessings that have accompanied us along the way.
As I reflect on these events from earlier in the term, I am reminded of the incredible blessings that have graced our school over the years. From the unwavering support of our parents and the dedication of our staff to the resilience and enthusiasm of our students, it is clear that we are surrounded by a community filled with love, faith, and hope.
It is moments like these that remind us of the extraordinary privilege it is to be a part of the Christway family. Whether as a student, a staff member, or a parent, each one of us plays a unique and invaluable role in shaping the legacy of our school.
As we embark on the next chapter of our journey, let us carry with us the memories, the lessons, and the blessings of the past 25 years. May we continue to be Guided by His Light as we walk hand in hand, inspired by love, and united in purpose.
Grace and peace
