Junior School Council 

Mr Kenny came to visit our Junior School Council meeting to teach us about what it’s like to do public speaking and some strategies to help us feel more secure. 

He told us to: 

• pretend that nobody is in the room
• to work against your fear, and turn it into our superpower
• think about what is going to happen after such as feeling so happy that you did it. 
• Take every opportunity to practice

Next week, JSC members will be presenting their own speeches to the group to put some of our learnings into practice. 

Later this term, the JSC will be visiting all classrooms to hear the opinions of students at Oatlands Primary School. This will give us an idea of everything our students love to do in the classroom, outside in the playground and also things that they feel we could improve on.
