Grade 3 Report

This term in Literature, the Grade 3 students are reading 'The Witches' by Roald Dahl.

So far, we have had a lot of fun comparing what we know to be 'traditional witches' and the 'real witches' as described by Roald Dahl. These witches are simply ordinary women but if you take a closer look, they are wearing gloves and have wig rash from hiding their bald heads!

When listening to the story, the students are learning how engaging it is because of the level of description Roald Dahl uses to describe his characters, settings and events.

We are beginning to practise these skills in our writing too!
