Stage 3 News

Last week (on Friday), Stage 3 boarded the bus excited for our Thalgarrah excursion.  After a short bus trip, we were greeted by Matt and Danielle who up-skilled us on how to take an amazing nature photo. We learnt about different techniques such as the rule of thirds, light, perspective and using a nature frame. The children really embraced their creativity and took calculated risks to photograph some interesting images. We would like to acknowledge Maree at Thalgarrah who diligently printed and framed all of the children’s photos for them to take home on the day. We had such a fantastic time out in the bush and all the children were so proud of their final products.

This week we have been busily preparing for our assembly presentation on Friday.  The children have been practising a song medley, including actions.  We are impressed with the children’s willingness to sing and help create the choreography for our performance.  A notification was deployed through COMPASS on Friday detailing suggested costume ideas for our performance.  These include: country theme, Indian clothing, soccer shirt, Aboriginal patterned clothing OR yellow/black/green clothing.  I also have cowboy hats if children do not have any costume items.  Please BRING them to school to change into on Friday.  Thank you for your cooperation regarding this matter.  Hopefully we’ll see you at our performance on Friday.  Assembly starts at 12:15pm this week as choir is performing as well.
