Parents & Friends Group

Welcome to the Taradale Primary School Parents and Friends Page

I would like to thank the Parents and Friends Club and all families for the fundraising efforts at the school. Money raised has enabled us to purchase a freezer for the SAKG programme. The freezer will be used to store excess produce from our bountiful garden to use throughout the year. Thank you everyone - Chris Burgess

Last chance to buy bulbs as part of our fundraiser!

Our bulb fundraiser is due to finish on the 11th April so if you were planning to order make sure you get your order in before then http://www.bulbfundraiser.com.au/TARADALE

Change of date for Term 2 garden working bee

We realised that our working bee was scheduled for the same day as the Malmsbury Fayre (Thanks Becky!) so have rescheduled:

Sunday May 4th.  9:30 til 12.

BYO gloves and rake

Shovels, Pitchforks and wheelbarrows also welcome

We'll be concentrating on the chook pen and orchard, getting ready for a flock of school chickens.

If we have time and enough people we will also do some mulching and tidying around the classroom gardens

Working Bees can be a great way for parents to get to know each other and kids are always welcome to come along too.  Many hands make light work so all helpers are appreciated!

New freezer for cooking/gardening program at school

The school has been able to use some of the funds raised by us last year to purchase a big, upright freezer for storing excess produce from our school gardens.  Chris, the cooking teacher is very excited (!) as this means that we'll be able to cook with produce from the garden all year round.  Yay!

Election BBQ on the 3rd May

Taradale PS operates as a local polling booth so generally when there is voting we will have a sausage sizzle and bake sale as a fundraiser on the day.  We'll need volunteers for the day and donations of baked goods.  If anyone has any other creative ideas for fundraising on the stall let us know as it's a great opportunity to raise some $$.  A roster will be shared here and also on the WhatsApp groups at the start of term two so people can sign up.  Thank you!
