Here is the final newsletter for term one.

Sport uniforms / soccer tops

Each year we give all students the opportunity to order sports shirts and shorts. We have found these to be very popular - not just with the students who attend interschool sport.

Early next term I will send out an EOI for people to place an order if you are interested in a shirt. Below is a mock up of what the shirts look like

Here is an update from the School Council:

Hi Everyone - a short update from the School Council. We meet twice each term and are currently a group of fi parents (all mums!) and Chris.

This term has been about ensuring the budget is on track. There are two income streams to the School - one is a fixed allocation 'credit' that we get from the Department of Education (DoE) that is managed by Chris (for salaries etc); and the other is a cash budget received from the DoE that is complemented by fundraising, donations, parent voluntary payments and other income to the school. As you can imagine there is a fair bit of variation in this budget, so it is predicated at the end of the previous year, and once enrolments are finalised, it is revised during Term 1.

We also hear an update from the Principal about staffing; buildings and upgrades to the school (think septic tank, tree pruning, fences, etc), and updates from the Parents & Friends Club and the Fundraising Sub-Committee. And in the first meeting of the year, we hold an AGM, where positions are sorted out and any policies that need it are updated.

At times there are also letters sent to the school, either from students or from the community that need to be replied to. If you have any questions for the School Council or would like to know more in these updates, please feel free to contact us via Chris, or have a chat with any of us below:
