Annual Cadet Bivouac

Around Easter each year the School Cadet Unit, PHSACU, goes on the annual bivouac (BIV). This camp is the first and a new experience for the new recruits but the last for the senior rank as they will have graduated before the Annual Field Exercise (AFX) at the end of Term 3. Over the course of the 3 days, the Cadets learn new skills, take part in team activities, create sleeping harbours similar to those used in the military, to name a few. In addition, the new experience of the ration (RAT) packs will be interesting to first time users, but to others it will be a known flavour explosion to ensure spirits are kept high and energy levels are at a premium.

The camp took place over the past weekend and enjoyed a mix of different tasks and experiences which has helped them to develop further ready for the rest of the year.
