Grade 2

We have made it to the last week of term! How fast has this term gone!

The Grade Twos have had a wonderful term and have worked really hard. We are all very proud of their efforts to set themselves up for success for the rest of the year.

In English, the students have been busy publishing their personal recounts and poem pieces that they have worked on & refined throughout the term. We have looked at acrostic poems, alliteration poems and sensory poems and our little poets have done an incredible job at creating these.

In Mathematics, the Grade Twos students have been busy revising the range of concepts we have learnt throughout the term such as exploring place value, addition and subtraction, money, and measurement.

We have concluded our fabulous work on our integrated studies unit focusing on Communities. The Grade Two’s worked through the design process to plan and create their own amazing play spaces to improve our ½ playground. The designs that they all produced were fantastic! The Principal team came down to visit and see the fantastic Community Showcase and were blown away with the incredible designs.

We hope you all have a happy and safe break, and we look forward to seeing you in two weeks for Term 2!
