Principal's Message

Dear Parents and Carers,
I hope you all had a restful and enjoyable Easter holiday break. As we begin this new term, I am filled with anticipation for the exciting learning experiences that lie ahead. Our wonderful teachers and staff have been hard at work planning engaging lessons and activities for our students. This term promises new adventures, discoveries, and opportunities for growth. Wishing you all a fantastic term ahead!
The Passing of Pope Francis
In recent days, we have been deeply saddened by the passing of Pope Francis on Easter Monday, at the age of 88. Pope Francis, born Jorge Mario Bergoglio, served as the 266th Pope of the Roman Catholic Church and was renowned for his humility, compassion, and dedication to social justice. Throughout his papacy, Pope Francis emphasized the importance of caring for the poor and marginalized, promoting peace, and protecting the environment. His teachings and actions have left an indelible mark on the world, inspiring millions to live with greater empathy and kindness.
Pope Francis' final public appearance was on Easter Sunday, where he greeted the faithful in St. Peter's Square. His passing has been met with an outpouring of grief and remembrance from people of all faiths and backgrounds.
As we reflect on his life and legacy, let us remember his call to love and serve one another. We encourage our school community to honour his memory by continuing to uphold the values he championed. May Pope Francis rest in peace, and may his spirit continue to guide us in our daily lives.
CSBB System Wide Staff Development Days
On Monday and Tuesday, our school staff participated in the CSBB System Wide Staff Development Days at Sacred Heart, Pymble. These days were dedicated to strengthening our professional knowledge of the curriculum during this time of Curriculum Reform. Our focus was on exploring both horizontal and vertical curriculum connections and deepening our understanding of the structure and content of the curriculum. The workshops provided valuable insights and practical strategies for enhancing our curriculum delivery.
By engaging deeply with the curriculum, we aim to ensure that our teaching practices are coherent and aligned across different stages and subjects. We are committed to continuous improvement and professional growth, and these development days are a testament to our dedication to providing the best educational experience for our students.
