As parents, we need to be talking to our teenagers about these risks all the time - not a one hundred minute conversation, but rather 100 one minute conversations. They need to know that you are learning about their world and that you do "know" some things. They also need to be aware that when issues do arise, they can come to you for help.
If you are not sure where to start, this downloadable conversation checklist CSP-Conversation-Checklist-Families-Resources.pdf or the information in this recent ‘Teens and Screens' Report CSP0525_TeensandScreensin2024_FA2.pdf may help kickstart some conversations.
It takes a community to raise a child and, with all the challenges social media brings, this is needed more than ever in our world today.
We hope this information proves helpful but please do reach out to your Learning & Wellbeing Leader if you are needing any further support.
