Wellbeing Matters

Creating Futures Together

Farewell from Celine Tsang

It is with mixed emotions that I write this final piece as the Wellbeing Team Leader of WHSC. Reflecting on my time here, I am filled with gratitude for being part of this tightly knit and compassionate community—a community defined by kind-hearted students, attentive and supportive parents, and dedicated teachers who share a collective passion for nurturing and educating young minds.

Throughout my role, I have witnessed students embrace the wellbeing space with confidence and respect, a testament to their courage in addressing life’s unique challenges. I have been inspired by their ability to navigate hardships, and I am deeply appreciative of the trust they placed in me as they worked through personal growth. Their resilience has not only kept me grounded but has also strengthened my resolve, reminding me daily of the profound power of perseverance.

As a trauma-informed crisis counsellor, I have stood alongside students during some of the most difficult moments of their lives—situations that no one should ever have to endure. These experiences, while heart-wrenching, also revealed incredible resilience and post-traumatic growth. To those students who have faced these trials, I often said, “It is my honour to be part of your journey; thank you for allowing me to witness this beautiful growth.”

To the WHSC community, it has been my honour to be a part of this incredible journey with you. Thank you for being inclusive, trusting my professionalism, and supporting me every step of the way. This chapter will always hold a cherished place in my life’s story as a core memory. With love and gratitude, Celine.
