Middle School

On Wednesday last week our Year 8 students had an assembly to discuss the celebrations of the Term so far and to reiterate some key expectations.  

PAT Results 

During the assembly we awarded students who received Excellent Learning Growth in their PAT Reading and PAT Maths at the beginning of the year. It was great to see such a large number of students striving to achieve their best and having their hard work pay off.  

Year 8 Captains 

Hi year 8’s I’m Elizabeth and I am one of your Year 8 captains. I’m really excited to be your captain, and I’m looking forward to helping make this year a fun and successful one. Whether it’s with school events, helping help with any challenges or being there to listen. I enjoy reading, hiking, listening to music and many more. My Family has a pet dog called Coco who is very friendly and energetic. If you ever want to talk or share your interests, I’d love to hear from you. I hope you all enjoyed Challenge Week, it was a great opportunity to try new things and have some fun together! 

Hello, I am Luka, and I am also one of your Year 8 Captains.  I am looking forward to having a great year as a year 8 captain I am ready to help out with the activities and out in the yard. I like playing cricket, soccer, video games and swimming. I have two pets a, cat and a dog the cats name is snowy, and my dogs name is Dempsye. Feel free to ask me any questions and I will try my best to answer them.  We are running a student forum in the last week of school and would love to hear your opinions. Behaviour Expectations 

We are starting to see some more negative behaviours creep in between our year 8’s. We are aware that it is coming to the end of the term, but we would really appreciate parents and guardians having a conversation with your child about appropriate behaviours at school.  

Below is our School Wide Positive Behaviour Matrix which we often refer to with our cohort. We would love for your conversations to include those non negotiables about what we want to see at all times.  

Our students are encouraged to call out any negative behaviour they see and report it to their Transition Mentor, Year Level Leaders or via the Community Call Out form which can be found under the star icon on Compass.
