This week in Science!
Practicals: Students from Yr7 Science are proudly displaying the sugar rainbows that they made during a practical investigating density. They did a fantastic job in following instructions, having strong attention to detail and using care while working with the materials to ensure the rainbow did not mix together.
Electron Microscope: Thanks to GTAC, we have a Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) at the school for two weeks! This allows us to look closely at pre-prepared and student-prepared samples with amazing detail. Have a look at this feather sample at x30, x100, x800 and x2500 magnification!
Get into the science wing or visit Mr Hernyak to check it out!
We would like to thank all the staff who attended Year 8 Camp throughout the week. In particular, I'd like to acknowledge Logan Dickson for her preparation, leadership, and oversight of the camp, going above and beyond to ensure that the students and staff had an amazing experience.
The student positivity and representation of our school values throughout the event were exemplary, and it was an amazing growth opportunity for all involved.
