On the 17th February, SCSC students attended the School Surf League Surf Life Saving Carnival.
We had a successful day with many students getting in the top 3 for some events, including the boys winning the Aqua Cam (relay), Jack H. winning the swim, board and wade, Henry H. coming second in the swim and Koa C. coming second in the board race.
Thank you to all participants for representing the school so well!

As part of the Outdoor Education & Outdoor Environmental Studies curriculum, students undertake a series of excursions in our local community. These excursions foster personal growth, teamwork, and resilience by immersing students in natural environments.
Students participate in activities such as snorkelling, surfing, rock climbing and mountain bike riding. It's a great chance for students to step outside their comfort zone while building resilience in a supportive and safe environment.

On Friday 27th February, 26 SCSC students represented the college at the Geelong Division Swimming Carnival at Kardinia Pool — and what an incredible day it was!
We are proud to share that all 26 students who competed have progressed to the Western Metro Region Championships on Wednesday 1st April (the final week of Term 1). An outstanding achievement!
Our swimmers delivered exceptional performances across the board, with the Junior Girls, Junior Boys and Intermediate Boys teams each taking out the overall pennant in their respective age groups — a testament to themselves.
A special congratulations to Jack H, who broke an incredible three records on the day. An amazing accomplishment!
We look forward to cheering the team on at Regionals — go SCSC!
A small group of Year 8 students recently took part in the Winds of Joy sailing program at the Geelong waterfront.
Running over four Fridays, the program gave students the chance to learn the basics of sailing aboard the yacht Woteva, guided by experienced volunteers and supported by SCSC staff. For many students, it was their first time on a yacht and an exciting hands-on learning experience.
The program, delivered by the Making Waves Foundation, aims to build confidence, teamwork and optimism while creating memorable experiences on the water.
