Ms GG
Welcome to another exciting year with SMAD! We are proud to introduce the students who help make our school a more inclusive, supportive and vibrant place for everyone.
SMAD is a student voice group where Year Level Leaders come together every two weeks to share the challenges students may be facing in their wellbeing and learning. These ideas are discussed, reflected on, and communicated so we can work together to improve the school experience for all.
We also contribute ideas on how JFC can continue to grow as a place that feels welcoming, safe, inclusive and fun. Our students actively help plan, support and participate in important social and wellbeing events such as International Women’s Day, Purple Day, Cultural Day, R U OK? Day and Men’s Health initiatives.
Beyond events, SMAD students:
Represent student perspectives and promote positive change
Encourage respect, belonging and cultural awareness
Support wellbeing initiatives across year levels
Help strengthen the sense of community at JFC
Model leadership, empathy and teamwork

Khaled – Year 8 Leader
“Hi, my name is Khaled and I’m the Year 8 leader. I applied for this role because I want to help others, grow my confidence, and make a positive impact at our school. Some of my hobbies are playing basketball and drawing because I enjoy being active and creative. I’m looking forward to working with the team, representing my year level, and making this a great year for everyone.”

Ada – Year 9 Leader
“Hi my name is Ada. I’m the new year 9 leader. I have never been into the SMAD before so I’m really looking forward to it. My favourite thing to do is doing arts like sketching, painting etc. I have joined SMAD to have more experience in teamwork, building confidence, and a way to help others. I’m really looking forward to this year, and I hope I do my best at everything.”

Hala – Year 10 Leader
“Hi, my name is Hala! I am the new Year 10 leader, and I'm really looking forward to being part of SMAD team. One of my favourite things to do is go on trips with my friends, which is one big reason why I joined the SMAD team. I want to help organise more trips and excursions for year levels that don’t get to go on them very often.”

Arisha – Year 11 Leader
“Hi my name is Arisha, the year 11 leader and I'm looking forward to represent my year level with determination to make a change. I enjoy being creative and trying new things out of my comfort zone. I'm looking forward to be working with the SMAD team and being a voice for the students.”

Will – Year 12 Leader & School Captain
“Hi! I’m William! And I have been a part of the JFC community since Year 7 and deeply value the school’s diversity and the opportunity to learn from different cultures. I’m passionate about empowering students with the building blocks they need to succeed, from amplifying student voices to providing practical guidance for life, like acing your first job interview. I am dedicated to supporting every student at JFC, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to thrive no matter the circumstances.”

Yomin - Year 12 Leader & School Captain
“Hi! My name is Yomin. I have been a part of the JFC community starting from year 9, but I was transferred to year 10 within a month of enrolment. I value the huge culture, and the tradition JFC has built over the years of hard work. I find myself an approachable and a motivator for all my fellow students. I am always willing to help others, from teaching a simple concept to helping your ideas turn into a reality. I believe every voice in the community must be heard regardless of the circumstances, and I am willing to be a voice for all students and support every student the best of my ability.”

Miss GG (Sara Gallego) – SMAD leader
“I have been part of the JFC family since 2024, teaching Spanish, Food Technology, and Connect across different year levels. I love being part of the school community, seeing students grow in confidence, and watching them shine, lead and make a difference. That’s why this year I proudly stepped into the role of SMAD Leader to help continue and strengthen a space where student ideas are heard, valued, and turned into positive action for everyone at JFC.”
