House Sports - This Thursday

This Thursday, all students will be taking part in our Annual House Athletic Sports. These will be held at the football oval, beside the school. Parents and family are welcome to attend the day and cheer on their child/ren.

Due to short turnaround times and split lunch breaks, we request that all parents ensure they send enough snacks, lunch and water from home.

Students are encouraged to wear their house colours on the day.

We will, once again, be assisted by some Beaufort Secondary College with our events. We thank them in advance for their support on the day.

At the conclusion of the day, we will be holding our Y6 Student's 'vs' Teachers 'vs' Parents relay races. Any interested parents should put their names down at the scoring tent.

If there are any parents available to assist with setting up between 8.30am and 9.00am, your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Year 3 and 5 NAPLAN

Over the next week and a half, students in Years 3 and 5 will be taking part in 4 different NAPLAN assessments. These assessments cover Reading, Writing, Language Conventions and Numeracy. At BPS, we see these assessments as a one-day snapshot of what students have achieved in their learning and we try not to put too much pressure on the students. All we ask is that they try their very best to answer the questions asked in each assessment. Individual student results will be communicated with parents during Term 2.

Parent Teacher Interviews

Parents are now able to book in their Term 1 Parent Teacher Interviews via XUNO. The majority of these interviews will take place in Week 10, except for 1/2A which will occur in Week 9. Please log into XUNO to make a time to chat about your child's teacher. These interviews are strictly 15 minutes, so if you require greater time, please speak to your child's teacher to arrange an alternative meeting.

Week 9

I would like to let parents know that I will be on Long Service Leave from Monday 24th March until Friday 28th March (inclusive). During this time, Mr Shuttleworth will be Acting Principal. I will not have access to emails or XUNO, so please ensure all correspondence is address to him or classroom teachers.
