Early Stage 1 Length

WELCOME BACK TO TERM 2!

Welcome back to another busy term. There is lots of learning and fun planned in our classrooms this term!   

Early Stage 1 

Week 3-5

Representing Whole Numbers 

Students will be demonstrating an understanding of how whole numbers indicate a quantity, while also reading and representing numerals to at least 20.

Stage 1 

Weeks 1- 3 

Combining Quantities: Addition

Students will use advanced count-by-one strategies to solve addition, use flexible strategies to solve addition problems, and form multiples of ten when adding two-digit numbers.

Stage 2 

Weeks 1-3

Additive Relations: Subtraction 

Students will be selecting and using mental and written strategies for subtraction involving 2 and 3-digit numbers.

Stage 3 

Week 3-5

Represents Numbers: Decimals

Students will compare and order decimals up to 3 decimal places.
