Welcome Pope Leo XIV & Bishop Murphy

WELCOME - Pope Leo XIV and Bishop Peter Murphy (11th Bishop of Armidale)

Over night we witnessed two momentous events for our Catholic Church throughout the world and in particular in our Diocese of Armidale. In the early hours of this morning (Australian time) it was announced that the cardinals had elected our new Pope who has taken the name of Pope Leo XIV.  

Also, last night in Ss Mary and Joseph's Cathedral - Armidale the 11th Bishop for the Catholic Diocese of Armidale was ordained and installed in a very moving and special liturgy.  Mrs Chard and Mr Withers had the privilege of attending on behalf of St. Josephs School.

We pray that God - Father, Son and Holy Spirit may guide and bless Pope Leo XIV and Bishop Murphy in their ministry and special apostolate.
