Jubilee Year and Tenterfield Deanery Mass
On 29 December 2024 Monsignor Wilkes joined bishops across the Universal Church when he opened the Jubilee Year 2025: Pilgrims of Hope here in Saints Mary & Joseph Cathedral, Armidale. The Holy Father Pope Francis declared the Jubilee Year open in Rome on 24 December 2024. Here in the Diocese of Armidale we have three major initiatives to celebrate the Jubilee Year. One of these initiatives includes a Deanery Mass in Tenterfield and a mini Cathedral tour.
On the 20th May, Stage 2 are travelling to Tenterfield to join in with the Deanery Mass. Following this, on the 3rd of July, the Mini Cathedral will pilgrimage to our local Parish where we can visit and explore more deeply.
Catholic Schools Week
Catholic Schools Week is Week 5 (26th - 30th May). During this week, our Year 6 students will be travelling to Armidale to attend the Catholic Schools Week Mass at the St Marys and St Joseph's Catholic Cathedral.
Mass for Bishop Elect Peter Murphy
On Thursday, Stage 3 attended Mass with Father Gleeson at St. Patrick's Church to celebrate Mass for Bishop Elect Peter Murphy who was ordained as the Bishop of Armidale later Thursday evening. Thank you Father Gleeson for allowing us to attend this special Mass.
