Supporting Your Child’s Safe and Balanced Online Gaming

Online gaming is a popular activity among young people, offering benefits like skill-building, social connections, and entertainment. However, it also comes with risks such as exposure to harmful behavior and excessive screen time.

To help your child stay safe online, encourage them to:

✅ Choose a safe username without personal details.

✅ Adjust privacy settings to control who can see their activity.

✅ Use mute and block features to manage interactions.

✅ Report and block abusive players if needed.

It’s also important to ensure gaming doesn’t interfere with sleep, school, or relationships. If your child struggles to stop playing, set limits, encourage breaks, and have open conversations about healthy gaming habits.

If needed, support services like Kids Helpline can offer help.
