From the Principal

Dear Parents,

I hope you had a good week!

Easter Chapel + Easter Hat Parade

A note has been sent to you about our annual Easter Hat parade. Many of you have been involved in our Easter Hat Parade before. I am convinced that there is no school in the world that does better hats than HPCS. If you have not been to one before, you are in for a surprise! Every year I enjoy seeing all of the amazing creations and the celebration of His goodness through the hats.

However, please remember that there is no pressure on you as parents to create the world's most amazing hats. Hats that have lights on them, spin, have a mechanical Jesus coming out of the tomb, whilst are amazing are not necessary. Please do not feel like you have to quit your job for the next month and devote yourself full time to winning the Easter Hat Parade. Have a great time creating something special with your children and enjoy the process together, something simple that is made together and you have fun with, laughing over spilt glue and poorly designed Easter Eggs is the purpose (however, if at the end you end up with a spinning light filled hat– that’s ok as well).

You are also very welcome at our Easter Chapel! It will be a great opportunity for us to worship and remember Christ’s sacrifice on the Cross. Most years, every class performs an item. However, with 10 classes now, this will not be possible, and we can’t have a two-hour chapel service. Our Year 3-6 students will be performing an item, and our K-2 students will perform at our Christmas Chapel.

A Reminder Regarding After-School Pick Up

If you are making alternate arrangements for the pickup of your child/ren from school, please ensure you communicate with the school office in plenty of time so that your child/ren and their teachers can be informed. Even if they are going home with another school family, it is important that we are notified. This includes children who are not taking the bus but will be picked up instead.

You can always call the school office on 9726 5106, or send an email to school@hpcs.nsw.edu.au.

New Website

Please note that we have a new, more user-friendly website that you can share with your friends and others. It will also make navigating the newsletter easier each week.

My door is always open.
