Father Justel presented the Parish Report at our School Advisory Council Meeting this week.

 

Below are the key points that he mentioned.

 

  • New School year commenced with parish opening mass held with learners on 14th Feb.
  • Welcome mass was held for all Prep students (New Joiners) and their families on the 16th Feb. It was a great success and families got to enjoy a sausage sizzle after mass.
  • Sunday School commenced on the 9th feb for all kids aged 6 to 10 years old. Sunday school class are held each Sunday during 10am mass. All parents are encouraged to bring their kids along.
  • Encourage students that are keen to join the junior reader and alter sever parish program.
  • Bishop Thinhs celebration mass will be held this coming Sunday 2nd March at 10am. Parishioners and all are welcome. Kind request to bring along a sweet treat if possible.
  • Planned working bee scheduled for Saturday 1st March 2025 at 10am. All welcome to participate.
  • Reminder of Ash Wednesday. Mass for students scheduled on the 5th March at 12pm. An additional evening mass schedule at 7pm for working folks or other to attend.
  • Parish luncheon scheduled for Friday 14th March. Details of the guest speaker will be announced next week. An anointing mass will be held on the day at 11am, followed by the luncheon as mentioned above. All are welcome to attend, bring along a family member or friend to make the event a success.
  • A healing event happening at the Holy Family Parish on the 21st to 23rd March. All are welcome. Anyone interested should attend.
  • Upcoming confession times (9.45am) Friday 28th
  • Lastly, awareness on the Monash Inter Church Council Annual Day World Day of prayer to be held at St Luke’s Uniting Church- 94 Essex Road, Mount Waverley at 10.30am on Friday 7th March, preceded by morning tea at 10am. All are welcome to attend.
