Why Data is so Important at St Joseph's

At St Joseph's School, we believe that data plays a vital role in supporting the learning and growth of every young person. Throughout the year, we gather information through assessments and observations to help us build a clear understanding of student progress in literacy, numeracy, and other key learning areas. This data provides valuable insight into each young person's strengths, areas for growth, and overall learning journey, allowing our skilled,   helpful adults to respond early and set meaningful learning goals.

We use this information to make learning more individualised, targeted, and responsive to the needs of our young people. By carefully analysing student data, we tailor learning experiences to provide the right level of support, challenge, and extension for each student. This approach helps ensure that every young person at St Joseph’s is given the opportunity to grow in confidence, achieve success, and thrive in their learning.
