Welcome to Term 4 (for those of you returning this week)!
There’s still one more term to make 2025 count - to see those early literacy visions take shape,
watch your literacy strategies gain momentum and to finally celebrate the literacy wins you’ve been working toward…no matter how big or small!
At the beginning of the year, I shared coaching questions using the 3,6,11 strategy. Here’s a reminder of what you can be asking your leadership teams and/or teaching teams to consider over the next term:
Suggested Literacy Block Outline Years 3-6
For a school to be successful, leaders are informed. When leaders are informed, they are empowered to support others- other leaders, teachers and, most importantly, students. As an informed school principal, here is a suggested outline of a literacy block for you to share this with your leadership teams, especially Literacy Leaders and Learning Specialists. With elements in this block familiar to you, this will guide the work of the school literacy team for the remainder of 2025 and set you up for literacy success in 2026.
