Principal's News

We acknowledge the Taungurung people, the traditional custodians of this land and we pay our respect to their elders past, present and emerging.

Good Afternoon Everyone,

It’s been another full and wonderful week here at St John’s, with so much happening across our school and community. Thank you, as always, for your ongoing support, encouragement, and enthusiasm. It’s such a joy to see our students learning, creating, and sharing in so many ways.

Euroa Show Art Exhibition

What a wonderful weekend it was at the Euroa Show! A huge thank you to the many families who came along to visit our St John’s Art Display, it was so special to see so many of our students proudly pointing out their work and sharing it with family and friends. A big thank you also goes to our amazing staff team Melinda Watson, Grace Ivill, Keith Bowater, Ally Johnston and Tess Scanlon for their hard work in preparing and setting up the display.

A friendly reminder that this Friday 31 October is a Pupil Free Day, and Monday is also a Pupil Free Day. Students will return to school on Wednesday 5 November.

We wish all our families a safe, happy, and relaxing long weekend — enjoy the break and the extra time together!

KABOOM SPORTS - 6th November

Once again, the team from Kaboom Sports is coming to our school for an afternoon of tabloid sport activities. Our friends from St Joseph's Nagambie will be joining us.  Students will enjoy a variety of activities including circus skills, relays, frisbee's and balancing. The fun begins at 1:30 pm on Thursday 6th November.

Grandparents Day – Friday 14 November

We are looking forward to welcoming our Grandparents and Special Friends to St John’s on Friday 14 November. The morning will begin with a Liturgy in the Hall at 9:05 am, followed by classroom activities until 10:30 am. It’s always a beautiful celebration of our community and the special people who play such an important role in our students’ lives.

Bike Education Program

This week, our Year 3/4 students will begin the Bike Education Program in PE. This program helps prepare students for safe and confident riding on shared paths and roads, covering skills like safety checks, bike handling, group riding, and understanding road rules. We have school bikes and helmets available, or students may bring their own if they meet the safety requirements outlined by Mr McKernan.

Garden Club during break times

A big thank you to our Garden Club, who have been working hard during lunchtimes to make our school grounds look beautiful! Over the past few weeks, students have been weeding garden beds and spreading fresh mulch around the school. Their efforts are helping to create inviting and cared-for spaces that everyone can enjoy.

  • What you love about St John’s
  • What makes our school community special
  • What areas or facilities you’d like to see enhanced or improved

Your feedback will help shape our next steps, from classroom learning spaces to the everyday experiences that make school life meaningful for our students. Please take a few minutes to complete the survey by scanning the QR code below. The survey will remain open until Friday 8th November.
