F/1/2 CLASSROOM

It is with great pride that we share the many achievements and moments of growth from our F/1/2 classroom this week. There has been a wonderful buzz of engagement as students have been working with our Pre-Service Teacher, Miss Auld. Miss Auld has thoughtfully planned and implemented a range of Mathematics, Religion, and Storybook lessons that have maintained the structure of our classroom while offering fresh and engaging ways for students to connect with their learning.
This week, our discussions have centred on understanding the needs of others, both at home and at school. Students engaged in meaningful conversations about how everyone’s needs can be different and how we can best support one another to be the best versions of ourselves.
We are incredibly proud of how the children are recognising and celebrating these differences. Some students may have important classroom responsibilities, while others participate in intervention programs or receive extra support to strengthen their speech, fine-motor skills, or core stability. The beauty of our St Mary’s community is that when we see a need, we respond with care, understanding, and action. Together, we continue to build a learning environment where every child feels seen, supported, and valued.
Celebrating Growth in F/1/2
In F/1/2, we are continuing to build beautiful portfolios for each student that capture their strengths, achievements, and learning journey across the year. You may have noticed many work samples and books coming home throughout Terms 1, 2, and 3.
As we move through Term 4, you will continue to receive your child’s work, along with a carefully curated portfolio showcasing some of the exceptional learning they have accomplished in each area. We hope this serves as a meaningful reflection of your child’s growth and progress throughout their educational journey this year.
Grandparents and Special Persons Day
We warmly invite all grandparents and special people to join us this Friday for a special celebration at St Mary’s. The afternoon will begin with Afternoon Tea, followed by Storytime in the classroom, and will conclude with a beautiful Liturgy in the church.
This celebration is a wonderful opportunity to spend time with your child, share in their learning, and enjoy the prayers and songs the students have been joyfully preparing for this special occasion. We look forward to welcoming our cherished visitors for this meaningful community gathering.
