Show Day Thursday and Student Free Friday - THIS WEEK!

The College will be be closed this Thursday 26 October (Show Day) and ALSO this FRIDAY 27 October.

Thank you to our wonderful teachers!

At Southern Christian College we appreciate everything our teachers do for both our students and for our SCC community. Teachers are not just educators, but mentors, guides and a source of inspiration. Shaping minds, instilling values and igniting the flame of curiosity within each of our students is part of what they do every day.

Friday is World Teachers' Day and we want to take a moment to celebrate our wonderful teachers and say thank you for everything you do. Today our Leadership team handed out a small gift to each of the teachers in appreciation of all they do.

Summer Uniform

Term 4 is  summer uniform time.

Generosity (Repeat)

Our core value focus this term is generosity.

SCC Core Values: Generosity

Giving out of gratitude

Grateful for the many blessings God has given us, we want to share these with others. Each of us has individual strengths. When we collaborate, we draw these together to make a positive impact for the community.

Pre-Kinder Sessions in November (Repeat)

Sessions are designed to be relaxed and will allow your child to become familiar with their classroom, peers and teachers prior to starting Kinder in 2024.

Can you help?

Hair with Heart - Hazel's Big Chop!

Hazel Bath, one of our much-loved Prep students has displayed great generosity participating in the ‘Big Chop’. Yesterday ZALA HAIR hairdressers, Channel Court, came to cut her hair. Hazel loves her new hair style!

The ‘Big Chop’ is part of the ‘Hair with Heart’ program organised by Variety Club Australia. It provides education, wigs, and other items for sick or disabled children. Hazel is excited to donate her hair, which will be made into a wig for a child.

If you are interested in donating to this worthwhile cause please do so through the link below.

Do you recognise these?

Please contact the College office if you recognise theses glasses or glasses' case.

REMINDER! All valuable lost property items are held at the office.

Reminder! Parking for afternoon pick-up (Repeat)

To improve the safety of our community, the top of the oval has been fenced off to prevent parking along the KELC driveway. Safety of our students and staff has been the primary reason to cease parking in this area. All our students who walk, or who catch one of the two commercial buses, move through this area, and there had been some close calls with increased car movements along the driveway.

Access to the driveway for the KELC roundabout is for parents of early learning students only.

We appreciate that the main car park is often full at 3:10. Please only park in designated areas. You may also use the kiss and drop area, park on Redwood Road and walk up to collect your children or, for parents with secondary students, you could come at 3:20 when there are spaces available.

We trust that the school community can continue to work together to make our school a safe place to learn and work.
