Yr 3-6 Science

In Years 3-6 children have been studying bridges. They have discovered the two main forces that act upon a bridge are compression and tension. Compression is the force that acts to compress or shorten the thing it is acting on. Tension is the force that acts to expand or lengthen the thing it is acting on. The children have really been enjoying these lessons.
