Wednesday 22nd November - Melbourne Zoo Excursion
We are going to Myuna Farm on Tuesday 14th November and Melbourne Zoo on Wednesday 22nd November as part of our Living Things Unit of Inquiry. Both excursions are now on Qkr ready for permission and payment – if you haven’t already paid, please do so as soon as possible!
Payment for Myuna Farm is due by Tuesday 7th November.
Payment for Melbourne Zoo is due by Wednesday 15th November.
On both excursions, the bus will be leaving by 8. 50am so we are asking that students arrive at school at 8:30am. We will let the students into the classroom at that time so we are ready to walk to the bus.
The excursion will be going ahead no matter the weather. If rain is forecast, please pack a raincoat (no umbrellas please!) and sunscreen if the weather is warm. Students must be in full school uniform including a school hat.
Students need a small backpack that they will carry around all day. It needs their snack/lunch and water bottle. Students do not need their reading folders on the excursion days or their normal school bags. No students will be allowed to buy a souvenir or food – so do not pack any money for them.
Next Thursday, students will participate in activities run by our Grade 6 leaders between recess and lunch. Students will be allowed to wear their house colours on the day!
Just a friendly reminder that if your child will be running late for school or needs to be picked up early, please let your teacher know via email. This will help organise your child's belongings before they need to leave, particularly if it is during recess or lunch time.
A big congratulations to all those students who walked to school over the past 2 weeks! They really enjoyed the fruit they received as well!
Students have been very busy making information posters about animals! They researched the diet, habitat, appearance and any interesting facts about them. Take a look at some below!
