From The Principals

Important updates from Mrs Mann, Mrs Cook & Mrs Strachan

Hello VPS families, what a massive two weeks we have had! Our performances of, 'What a Knight!' were an absolute triumph. We were so proud of each of the students who were part of the show and loved seeing the talent, enthusiasm and beaming smiles. Opportunities to be involved in events such as this are so important, and give students a chance to shine in different ways. We would like to thank the parents and family members who came along and supported the cast each night. Performing to such a large crows is both terrifying and exciting, and I am sure the students involved have created life long memories of this special time.

Of course events such as productions take an incredible amount of work, and we are so grateful to all the teachers, parents and other volunteers who supported the preparations and rehearsals. Although a team effort, we would like to make a special mention of the enormous amount of work from Mr Fraser and Ms Monypenny in their creative vision, direction and encouragement of all students who took part.

Check out the Production page to see some photos!

Student Sporting Achievements

Congratulations to Howen F from 6AS for his incredible efforts at the recent School Sport Victoria State Track and Field Championships at Lakeside Stadium, Albert Park.  We are very proud of your achievements. On the day of the events, the Principals, the office staff and many of the grades were at a standstill as they proudly watched the live coverage of Howen representing Vermont Primary School. Refer to the Specialists Page as Mr Walsh has included all the details there.

Lost property

We have many items that have been handed into our office including various basketballs, and Student Badges. These include Planet Saver, Peer Mediator, Library Monitor, Senior Choir and Junior Choir badges.

Please see picture below for some other items we have and come and ask at the office if any of these belong to you.

Whole school Indonesian Day

On Monday 20th of November, we will have a special Indonesian Day.  The whole school will be involved in activities to learn more about Indonesia.  There will be games, craft activities, dance workshops, food and performances to watch.

Please come dressed in red and white, the colours of the Indonesian flag.

Leaders Day

Next Thursday 9th of November we have our Student Leader Day. This is a special day where our leaders host events for students right across the school. If students can please wear their house colours on the day, that would be great!

Curriculum Day and Public Holiday Reminder

A reminder to all that Monday the 6th of November is a Curriculum Day and Tuesday the 7th of November is a Public Holiday. No students are to attend school on these days. We look forward to seeing everyone back at school on Wednesday the 8th of November.

Have a lovely long weekend!
