State Track and Field Championships

Last Wednesday, Howen F competed in the School Sport Victoria State Track and Field Championships at Lakeside Stadium, Albert Park.  To qualify, Howen won the Nunawading District and Whitehorse Division 80m hurdles and triple jump events and finished 2nd in the Eastern Metropolitan Region Final. 

In the State Final, Howen competed against the top 16 students in Victoria from both State and Independent schools.  He ran an outstanding race and produced a personal best time to finish 4th in an extremely close finish. 

As a school community we are extremely proud of Howen’s achievements and wish him well in his future sporting endeavours. 

Whitehorse Division Cricket Final

On October 26, Vermont Primary School competed in Summer Sport Division Cricket.  It was a fantastic day despite the cold and wet weather.  Lots of great cricket was played with outstanding sportsmanship.  We were very excited to win our 3 games and advance to Region.  We would all like to say a big thank you to Mr Walsh for being our coach.
