Senior School

Andrea Grear, Head of Senior School

Farewell to the class of 2023

It is a joy to see our Year 12 students arrive at the end of their secondary schooling!

Although the journey through Senior School is often different to what we expected in Year 10, I know that this group of students have been embraced in the Emmaus Community.

Guiding Love

Our Year 12s have come through the year with love guiding them: the love of parents, our Heavenly Father and our Emmaus community - we teachers love our students and want them to grow to be all they are designed to be as children of God. The Year 12 Celebration Week is a representation of our care for the students who leave.

Celebration Week

Our Year 12 students embraced the week with enthusiasm and it was a joy to see how close they have grown with each other and how they have learnt to persevere when feeling that it seems to be too busy.

The costumes for the movie-theme dress up day were next level! I really enjoyed the creativity and fun-filled day.

The care given and shared between all the students and staff was evident at the Year 12 Dinner. We really had a great meal and a lot of laughs as teachers shared about their subject classes.

Farewell Assembly

Finally, the Farewell Assembly was memorable for all the right reasons and I thank the staff, parents and students for making it a success. It was a wonderful commemoration for both the students and their patient parents.

Thank you again to the whole South Plympton community for turning out to say goodbye and good luck. It was superb!

Final Farewell

It has been a privilege to love these students as part of the Senior School and send them on their way to the rest of their lives. May they know that they are prayed over as precious members of our community.
