Captains Corner 

Jenna - Today my friends were discussing seasons. Personally, my favourite season is autumn. A few reasons are because of the majestic colours of the lush leaves, and their elegant descent. The days are still warm but they’re still much cooler than summer, which is a relief after the scalding heat. Generally, at this time I go out for walks with my family and admire the beautiful scenery. Now that my sister is beginning VCE, we haven’t been able to have that chance, but once she finishes her schooling at high school, I am sure we will again.

Jude - My favourite season is definitely winter.  Hot chocolates, footy, soccer, basketball.  It is so great to wake up every morning looking outside and seeing rain and cold, and then you have a nice warm hot chocolate in the morning, so relaxing, Right?  In addition, when you go to sleep, the pouring rain is so soothing and helps me go to sleep.  On the weekends, I get to sit on my couch all day and watch every footy match.  At school, we always have wet day timetables and they are so fun!  I get to spend more quality time with my friends, have fun and play board games! I love winter so much.

Isaac - My favorite season is summer because it is hot and very relaxing and calming and every summer, I am very lucky to go to my beach house and spend family time at the beach. At the beach I love going on my jet ski. I love summer because I only get to wear shorts and t shirts. Summer might be extremely hot some days but that is the satisfaction of summer. In summer I get to have ice cream go on bike rides and sink my feet in the boiling sand. I love the walks with my family and watching the sunrise and sunset. That’s some of the reasons why I love summer.       

Adrina - My favourite season is definitely summer. I absolutely love the warm weather! Especially because Melbourne is usually always cold, Summer is about the only season that is warm. I always look forward to the ice creams, waterparks, the beautiful bright shining sun and most of all the pool parties. Summer is definitely the best season. All the cool clothes you can wear and finally relax. I think that I might have forgotten what it feels like to have the AC on! Although it can get hot, it is definitely worth it. Another huge reason why Summer is the best season is because of the school holidays. Then, we can really relax.
