Upcoming Events – Action needed

A list of things we need parents and carers to do to ensure their student can attend events, camps or excursions

Festival on the lawn

Every year the Trafalgar Primary School celebrates our amazing arts programs (Music, Visual art, Drama and Dance) by all students performing at our ‘Festival on the lawn’.

The Festival is held at the school, on and around our oval and hall, on Friday the 1st December, 5 - 9 pm with the concert starting at 6.

Each class performs a song at the concert. The classes have chosen their songs, every student in the school is taking part, and rehearsals have been going well in music class.

As well as class bands performing, the festival also includes:

  • Drama and dance performances.
  • Art show in the hall.
  • Vendors including Lions Club bbq, popcorn and fairy floss, Mr whippy van, coffee van.
  • Showbags and face painting.

Students come in free dress, some classes have a theme. I have attached a running order and dress suggestions in this email.

Please note: Parents are required to supervise their children throughout the evening and must be accompanied by an adult.

The students are very excited about the Festival on the lawn. We encourage all families to attend, it will be a night filled with fun and music. Grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends - everyone is welcome!

There will also be a raffle held on the night with the chance to win a $400 credit towards the purchase of a chromebook or an upcoming camp!

Attached is a flyer of the event and the running order/dress suggestions. Look forward to seeing you all there.

Principal Awards Assembly

Our Principals Awards Assembly will be held from 2:30 pm on Friday 8th December. Parents and friends are most welcome to attend.

This assembly will be the last opportunity we have, as a whole school community, to say farewell to the Grade 6 class of 2023.  The assembly will open with the Grade 6 dance and conclude with a guard of honour for these students.

The Academic Excellence Awards presented will honour students who have achieved the highest results in all subject areas. The GPA Perfect 4 Awards will recognize those who consistently demonstrated our core values – Be Safe, Be Respectful, Be a Learner. These awards reflect not just academic success but also the commitment to personal growth.

The assembly will also feature the presentation of GPA Silver Awards to students who have earned the GPA All Star! title more than 40 times – a remarkable achievement indeed. The perpetual House Trophy will be awarded to the house with the highest points, and we are excited to see who will take the lead this year.

Lastly, the introduction of our 2024 School Captains and other student leaders in areas like House Leadership, Technology, Sports, Performing Arts, Visual Arts, and Environmental leadership.  The selection process for these roles is almost finalised and all applicants have shown exceptional enthusiasm and passion during the selection process. We look forward to witnessing their contributions in the coming year.

Our final assembly is a time to recognize our students hard work, dedication, and the values that make Trafalgar Primary School a special place.

Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to seeing you at the assembly.
