A single polished nail may seem small, but its impact is mighty! Painting one nail blue in the month of October is a powerful conversation Starter.

This month, we are throwing our support behind the Polished Man campaign, aimed at raising awareness and funds towards supporting trauma prevention and trauma recovery programs for women and children who have been subjected to domestic violence, both in Australia and around the world.

The more people we have talking about polished man, the greater the impact we can create. It's a symbol of hope, a commitment to change, and a beacon of support for children and women affected by violence.

The facts around domestic violence are incredibly confronting:

• one in two children experience violence each year

• one in three women have experienced violence in their lifetime

• one child is killed every fortnight at the hands of a parent in Australia

• one women is killed per week by her intimate partner in Australia

• globally, an estimated 137 women are killed by their intimate partner every day

This week our staff held a bake sale to raise funds and students participated in Do Now activities and fun games at lunch time to raise awareness.
