School Organisational Structure 2024

Planning for 2024 is well underway.  We will have an enrollment of approximately 420 students in 2024.  We will also have an additional class in 2024, which will bring our total classes up to eighteen. Our structure will be as follows:

• Foundation x 3 classes
• Year 1/2 x 5 classes
• Year 3/4 x 5 classes
• Year 5/6 x 5 classes

Please note:

The teachers of each class have not been determined at this stage and we will communicate this information to you later in the year.

Staff will begin the important task of organising student placements into their 2024 classes shortly. As I'm sure you can appreciate, this is an important and time consuming task.  Staff, as professional educators, are capable and trusted to make decisions in the best interest of our students and school.

We consider, discuss and draft class lists and take into account variables including:

• Student academic and wellbeing needs
• A reasonable gender and academic balance in classes
• The working relationship of students
• The common good of our school

In formulating class lists, we endeavor to ensure that each child has at least one friend in their future class.  To assist teachers with this process, students will be asked by their teacher to name a short list of friends.  Teachers will endeavor to place each student with at least one friend from their list. 

Parent Requests

• If parents wish to make a request, please ensure that it is well considered and based on your child’s learning or wellbeing needs.
• Parent requests need to be placed in writing to the principal, Andrew Mullaly, by the end of  Wednesday 8th November.
• If you have previously made a request, you will need to resubmit your request in writing as circumstances may have changed for your child.
• As you will understand, ‘parent request’ will be considered however will not be guaranteed.
