2024 Class Lists

Shortly, teachers will begin the process of formulating our 2024 class lists.  In order to promote student wellbeing, we endeavor to ensure that each child has at least one friend in their future class.  Over the next week, students will be asked by their teacher to name a short list of friends.  Please discuss with your child a list of suitable friends that could possibly be with them in their 2024 class. Teachers will endeavor to place each student with at least one friend from their list.

Apart from friendship many other considerations are considered based on information we already have about your child. This is an extremely detailed process that takes much consideration and planning.

First Eucharist Celebration

This coming weekend  some of our students will be making their First Eucharist at the Parish Mass here at SJV. This is a wonderfully exciting and important celebration within their faith journey. We continue to pray for these students that they may always be nourished by the Eucharist and  nurtured and supported by family, School and Parish to grow in faith.

Parents and families please note that it is the Parish not the school who are in charge of the Sacramental Program including the organisation of   these First Eucharist Masses.

All enquiries to the Church office 9546 3831

Class Masses

Last Friday saw the last of our Class Masses for 2023. I thank everyone for their wonderful prayerful participation. These Masses are a very important part of our what we do at SJV. It is essential that we gather as a community and celebrate our Catholic Identity and our faith. My sincere thanks to all the families who were able to support their children and our school in these celebrations. Your children, our students led these Masses beautifully!!  Thank you to the staff who organised and prepared so well!

End of Year Mass

Our end of Year Mass for the whole school  will be held on the last day of term Friday 15th December at 9am.

Celebration of Diwali

We wish all  those within the community celebrating Diwali this Sunday and beyond, every blessing. Diwali is the Hindu festival of lights with its variations also celebrated in other Indian religions. It symbolises the spiritual "victory of light over darkness, good over evil and the human ability to overcome."
