Letter to Family and Friends

Dear Pilgrim Families,

I'm excited to share with you the incredible work being done by the Diverse Learning Team in supporting students with core literacy and numeracy skills, as well as their overall academic and personal growth. Through dedicated efforts, our students have achieved excellent results and remarkable gains in their learning journeys.

Our Diverse Learning Team consists of passionate and talented professionals who work tirelessly to provide a nurturing and inclusive environment for all students. We understand the importance of catering to individual requirements and have developed a range of strategies to ensure every student can reach their full potential.

One of the key areas where the team focuses their efforts is in supporting students with additional needs or disability in their core literacy and numeracy skills, through assistance with classwork and tailored intervention programs. We address the specific needs and challenges of students with disability or low progress, as well as opportunities for enrichment and enhanced learning experiences for all students.

Additionally, the Diverse Learning Team help students develop essential organisational skills, study habits and self-regulation. These areas are critical for academic success and overall well-being. By providing tools and strategies to enhance these skills, our Diverse Learning Team assists students in becoming independent learners who can effectively manage their workloads and meet deadlines. 

Beyond the academic realm, the Diverse Learning Team also focuses on fostering a positive and inclusive school culture. We ensure that students feel valued, accepted, and supported, which is integral to their overall development. By promoting understanding, empathy, and acceptance, the Diverse Learning Team creates an environment where every student can thrive.

As the Diverse Learning Coordinator, I am immensely proud of the work done by our team. The commitment to our students’ success and well-being is truly inspiring. As a team we work closely to plan, resource and implement the support and assistance we provide. This collaboration contributes much to the success we see. We look forward to continued growth and success as we work hand-in-hand with students, teachers and families to achieve ongoing goals.
